At Its Best:

Why I Love Maine
A Video Blog

One man, one video camera, one magical state. See why Jeff Swanson loves Maine....

Jeff Swanson is a freelance photographer and musician who lives in Portland. When he moved to Maine he began documenting what he liked best and uploading video files for friends throughout the United States.

From thick-as-glue chowder to the first swim of the year (that's ice on the lake, folks) to a loon's treble under a full moon, Swanson's videos show the simple things, the every-day occurrences that make Maine — to those who choose to live here — MAINE.

If you have video records of your own reasons to love Maine, send an email to online@downeast.com.
