Spring is here:
'Gardens Maine Style, Act II' Will Soon Follow
Maine gardens look their best under the artful eyes of photographer Lynn Karlin and Rebecca Sawyer-Fay.

An ocean-front enclave resplendent with roses, a lakeside cottage garden bursting with old-fashioned perennials, or a woodland retreat where native wildflowers flourish near prized evergreens — they’re all to be found in the pages of Gardens Maine Style, Act II, along with ideas for bringing high drama to any garden, no matter where it is. You'll find suggestions for creating eye-catching container gardens and for adding “star power” to beds and borders, along with tips for attracting songbirds and butterflies. Behind the scenes, you will meet some of the most innovative gardeners at work in Maine today and hear from designers, stonemasons, and naturalists who make the magic happen.
Sawyer-Fay is a gardening writer whose articles have appeared in House Beautiful, Country Living, Better Homes & Gardens publications, Organic Gardening, and Down East. She is the author of four other books and lives in Camden, Maine.
Karlin's photographs appeared in New York magazine, Woman’s Wear Daily, W, House Beautiful, Country Living, and The New York Times Magazine before she moved to a farm in Harborside, Maine, where she began specializing in garden photography. Today, her work can be seen in Better Homes & Gardens publications, Cottage Living, Coastal Living, Garden Design, La Vie Claire, Horticulture, and other periodicals. Lynn has received a total of eight Garden Writers’ Association awards. Her home base is Belfast, Maine.
