Artists at Work
The artwork being created and exhibited at Spindleworks in Brunswick is colorful, vibrant, and unique. The same can be said for the artists themselves.

On an overcast Tuesday morning in the Spindleworks woodshop in Brunswick, Earl Black is making himself a car. He insists he needs it, even though he already pedals to work almost every weekday on his trusty red three-wheeled bike, pulling his lunch box and jacket in a mesh cargo basket.
The license plate says "Diane." That's Earl's wife. Once secret childhood sweethearts -- until "someone let the cat out of the bag," Diane says with a grin -- they've been married for twenty years. Diane walks to Spindleworks from their nearby apartment.
