Lea Wait grew up in history. As a young girl, she recalls standing on the front lawn of her family home in Edgecomb on languid summer days and waving to tourist-laden riverboats that ambled up the Sheepscot River vying for a look at the gracious Colonial she called home, a structure reportedly built by a captain enjoined to smuggle Marie Antoinette out of France at the start of the revolution.
