The Night Shift
Hip bistro Vignola enlivens Portland's late-night dining scene.
I went to a movie with a few friends on a recent Saturday night in downtown Portland. It was almost 10 p.m. when we strolled out of the theater, and we were famished - we needed a bite, and fast. The only problem is that, at that hour, it's easy to end up in a restaurant where you're the only patrons, and where the staff is energetically and noisily shutting the place down for the night.
