After pouring drinks and seating diners at the adjacent cafe, Patti Kissinger rolls up her sleeves. She scatters a dusting of glass fragments on the metal table in her studio and begins rolling a blowpipe over the pieces, occasionally dipping it into the glowing "glory hole" at the back of the room to reheat it. In front of her sit a half-dozen patrons who finished lunch only moments before settling in to observe this glass-blowing demonstration at Prism Glass, the surprising venture of Kissinger and chef Lisa Sojka. Partners in life and business, the two newcomers to Maine have created an intriguing - and totally unique - synthesis of food and art inside an antique cape that fairly flashes with color.
