The Georgetown Working League is holding their 100th annual fair in 2013. Quilt raffle, handmade items,collectibles, homemade baked goods, art, crafts, books, jewelry, white elephants, childrens activities, lunch. All proceeds benefit the town.

The first career museum retrospective for American painter Lois Dodd will feature paintings that define the places and subjects that have mattered most in her nearly 60-year career—views of New York City’s Lower East Side from her apartment windows; of the woods and gardens of Midcoast Maine; and wintery scenes near her family home in New Jersey. Dodd was a key member of New York’s postwar art scene and part of the wave of modern artists who explored the coast of Maine in the latter half of the 20th century.

In Noel Coward’s theatrical farewell, Sir Hugo, a successful, aging writer, has paid a personal price for concealing his sexuality from the public. When a former starlet arrives at his hotel room with a handful of revealing letters, Sir Hugo is forced to confront his past — and his wife — in this comedic and poignant play with music about fame, privilege, and a life in the theater.

The Blue Hill Public Library’s new “Art Adventures” series kicks off the exploration of visual and performing arts on Thursday, February 28th at 7pm (Howard Room) with “How Jazz Works: From Song to Improv.” Jazz typically works by taking a particular song, such as “Autumn Leaves,” as a vehicle and uses the chord structure of the song as a basis for improvising new melodies.

Maine Restaurant Week (MRW), held March 1-10, 2013, is celebrating five years of Maine’s culinary skill and creativity. For the fifth year in a row, Maine Restaurant Week is inviting diners to sample pre-fixe menus from restaurants across the state at a time of year when business is traditionally slow.

For over 41 years Roomful of Blues has been pleasing crowds around the world.
