Developed by the Montshire Museum of Science in Vermont and with funding from the National Science Foundation, Toys: The Inside Story is a traveling exhibit that literally looks inside toys to see what makes them shake, rattle, and roll.

This exhibition draws on the Farnsworth’s collection of nineteenth-century clothing and accessories that includes day and evening attire, nightgowns, undergarments, hats and shoes, fans, and jewelry from a period when coastal Maine towns were in the midst of an economic boom.
