For over twenty years, the NAACP Portland Branch has sponsored a music and gospel concert to celebrate the life and legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. This year will be no different when on Saturday, January 19th a truly inspirational and music-filled evening will take place at Merrill Auditorium

The NAACP's annual Martin Luther King Day Concert will feature a number of diverse groups including Lady Zen, Rock My Soul, the USM Chamber Singers, and Green Memorial AME Zion Church. In addition, the Pihcintu Multinational Children's Chorus and a small children's choir from the Seventh Day Adventist Church will open the program to honor the vision of Dr. King's beloved community in which all our children feel safe and loved.
