Back to School
Let's face it: The economic recession has us all examining what we're doing and where we're heading, whether it's looking at what we spend at the grocery store or deciding whether we really need that new car this year. For those who have been laid off, that introspection often results in a change in career, and the Landing School in Arundel is making it even easier for Mainers and others to start a second life as a boatbuilder, designer, or other occupation in the marine industry. The school has received a grant that allows it to offer financial aid for students enrolling in its ten-month-long courses, which cover everything from traditional wooden boat construction to composites and advanced design.
