'American Loggers' Stack Wood, Pancakes
Have no fear, fans of reality television: The Pelletier family will not hang up its chainsaws in favor of spatulas. The family behind the reality television show "American Loggers" is, however, diversifying from the northern Maine woods to Main Street after a Millinocket eatery closed its doors. The Pelletiers are renovating two storefronts, including the former home of the Downtown Restaurant, and plan to open a bar and grill in September. It's not the first side business for the third-generation logging family. Pelletier Brothers Inc. also sells Pelletier-emblazoned t-shirts, hats, and coffee mugs in addition the 200,000 cord of wood it harvests each year.
