'Horse Fishing' in Greenbush
Greenbush firefighters rescued a pair of Belgian draft horses from an icy bog this past weekend. The horses were just beginning to settle into theirr new home with owner Earl Strandell when they knocked down their fence and took off into the woods. One, Prince, fell through the ice on a bog; the other was standing nearby.
Strandell called the fire department for help. “We’ve been horse fishing,” Greenbush Chief Donald Burr said after freeing the horse.
