75th Year for Maine's State Parks

In 1935 Maine's legislature began the Maine State Park Commission, and three years later private businesses donated land to create Aroostook State Park. Since, Maine's state park system has grown to include dozens of parks, hundreds of miles of trails, and many more sites.
