Polls, Punches, and Punch Lines
Maine's gubernatorial election is little more than a month away, and as if a recent poll showing Democrat Libby Mitchell has overtaken Republican Paul LePage didn't provide enough campaign excitement, LePage's own recent comments are heating up the race even more. This week LePage made national news by announcing that he would tell President Obama "to go to hell" and statewide headlines by saying that he was "about ready to punch A.J. Higgins." Higgins is the Maine Public Broadcasting Network reporter whose questioning of LePage led to the first of his televised outbursts.
