Portland Mayor Sworn In

Michael Brennan officially took office today to become Portland's first mayor chosen by the people since 1923. It was a small ceremony for Brennan as well as those elected to City Council. Former mayor Nick Mavadones gave a speech extoling Brennan and urging people to support him during what's sure to be a highly scrutinized first term. Brennan will give an inaugural address today at 6 PM at the Ocean Gateway Terminal. Read more at the Bangor Daily News.
