Marine Resources Chief Resigns

Norm Olsen, commissioner of the Maine Department of Marine Resources, has resigned after six months on the job.

Olsen told The Associated Press that administration officials wanted him to appease his detractors, giving him until Labor Day to do so, a task he considered impossible to complete.
