Newbergh Selectmen Resign
Two of Newbergh's three selectmen have resigned, saying they have been the focus of a "'witch hunt" waged by a watchdog group known as the Concerned Citizens of Newburgh or The Fixers. The third selectman was recently voted out of office by one of The Fixers' founding members.
The Fixers have been scrutinizing the town’s financials, confronting selectmen at public meetings and publishing blogs and newsletters for more than a year, according to the Bangor Daily News.
