Miss Renee's Mice Go to an Exhibition
Illustrated by Dawn Petersonages 4 and up
When Miss Renee’s resident mice learn that she is going to a miniatures show and exhibition, they pester and pester until Miss Renee finally agrees to bring them along -- on the condition they they strictly behave themselves. Their instructions are to remain perfectly still, so they will appear to be doll mice occupying Miss Renee’s exquisite dollhouses.
At the show, Miss Renee is unpleasantly surprised to find that the adorable “doll” mice attract more attention than do the miniatures she has brought to sell. She begins to feel hurt and a bit resentful. Meanwhile, the mice find it increasingly difficult to stay motionless, and once they start to act like normal live mice, mayhem inevitably results! In the end, though, the friendship between Miss Renee and the mice is restored.
For ages 4-8, and dollhouse aficionados of all ages!
