Reporter Shannon Moss takes a swing at pickleball, a sport championed by Maine senior athletes Anne and Rocky Clark.

We are partnering with local reporter Shannon Moss to bring the pages of Down East to life. In conjunction with our March article on Maine’s “Ageless All-Stars,” Moss joined National Senior Games athletes and Portland residents Anne and Charles “Rocky” Clark for a game of pickleball. Check out the video and be sure to pick up a copy of the March issue of Down East to read the full story.

Fastest growing? Roller derby will give you some competition there. MRD was the only league in 2010. Now there are 4 or 5 in Maine with a total of maybe 250 skaters and support staff.
