On Saturday, November 13, Lee Skawinski, executive chef and co-owner of Portland, Maine’s acclaimed Vignola restaurant (www.vignolamaine.com ), will offer a Spanish food and wine tasting menu in addition to the restaurants’ popular dinner menu. Dinner guests who select Skawinski’s specially created, four-course, Spanish-inspired tasting menu will have the opportunity to visit with guest sommelier Chris Campbell from Portland’s C&P Imports, one of the city’s most knowledgeable wine importers. Campbell will share tasting notes about the accompanying wines and the producing regions, and, as a special feature, Campbell’s wine selections all will be offered in three sizes: as a taste, by the glass or by the bottle. Campbell and Skawinski traveled to Spain earlier this year for food and wine exploration and will be creating an authentic Spanish tasting experience for guests interested in trying something new.
