Fifty Shades of Grey, that steamy erotic novel series that seemingly everyone in the country is reading awkwardly in public, it turns out is being made in East Millinocket [2]. To be precise, 3,000 tons of it are being made in Millinocket. The book has become so popular (one out of five adult print novels sold in the United States is part of the series) that the publisher has been sourcing paper from many manufacturers, including the Great Northern Paper LLC, located in a town near Mount Katahdin with less than one thousand households. Who knew that "The Town that Paper Made" would also help make all the quivering, blushing, and whispering from not-so-innocent protagonist Ana come to life.
