The ice is barely gone from Maine rivers and lakes and, just as we were warming up our spring reverie — praising peepers and cutting pussywillow branches — Mother Nature has decided to dole out a helping of summer. Weather gurus say Maine towns (inland and coastal) will see day-time high temperatures in the 70s this weekend.
