Bowdoin College received the best grade, an A-, among Maine colleges rated on the 2011 College Sustainability Report Card.
Bates and Colby colleges received a B+ grade. Thee University of Maine and College of the Atlantic, meanwhile, both received an overall letter grade of B, a ranking that pleased university officials but disappointed those at the Bar Harbor college whose focus is environmental studies and sustainable practices.
St. Joseph’s College received a B-. Unity College did not participate.
