The state attorney general has asked Darryl Brown to prove he does not have a conflict of interest that prevents him from heading the Department of Environmental Protection.
"In the absence of new information, it appears you are unqualified to serve as Commissioner of the Department of Environmental Protection under Maine law," Schneider said in a statement. The question of Brown's eligibility stem from the income he received from Main-land Development Consultants.
