Faux conservative pundit Steve Colbert has weighed in on Governor Paul LePage's infamous "kiss my butt" comment. LePage made national news last week for his response to a news reporter's question about his decision to decline the Maine NAACP's invitation to a Martin Luther King observance. "Tell 'em to kiss my butt," LePage said when asked if his nonparticipation was part of a pattern of dismissing the NAACP. "I applaud Goveror LePage," Colbert said. "Before Dr. King came along, could anyone imagine a white politician openly inviting a black person to kiss him? And with pants! That's progress." Watch and listen at Colbert Nation. [1] |
