What Maine lighthouse was designed after the Choragic Monument of Lysicrates in Greece?
The Portland Breakwater Light (Bug Light) in South Portland. This light was erected in 1855 and replaced in 1875 with a twenty-four foot granite tower. In 1942 it was extinguished to protect the harbor during World War II.
