More than 50 Maine crafters will show and sell their finest work at the 38th annual Island Arts Association (IAA) Holiday Fair on Friday, Nov. 30 and Saturday, Dec. 1. Crafts include pottery, jewelry, knits, photography, quilting, bags, hand-blown glass, woodworking and more. Food sales will support the heating costs of the YWCA of MDI.

In 1997, Christopher Plummer opened Barrymore at Broadway’s Music Box Theatre. His performance had audiences standing in amazement and showering him with Bravo’s. It sent critics searching for superlatives. That year Christopher Plummer won The Tony Award, The Drama Desk Award and the Outer Critics’ Circle Award. Plummer defined “tour de Force” and “clean sweep.” Barrymore, written by the distinguished, award-winning playwright, William Luce, is based on the life of actor John Barrymore. Barrymore was directed by three-time Tony Award winner, Gene Saks.

Former Commanding Officer of Naval Security Group Activity, Winter Harbor, VADM Michael Rogers will be the guest speaker. Presentations to Veterans will be made by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
