The work of over two dozen artists, photographers, fine craftsmen, and authors will be displayed and offered for sale at this event which benefits both the artists and the on-going restoration project by the JHS of the Old Town House. Showcased will be paintings of many styles and media, prints, photography, fabric art, jewelry, etchings, wood, sculpture, stained glass, basketry, books and much else. Music will be provided by the jazz trio of SwingShift Jazz. Jefferson memorabilia will also be for sale.

Live & Dance Strong was established in 2008 in memory of Richard J. Randall, former president of the University of Maine at Augsuta. Our first performance in 2009 was a phenomenal success, raising ten thousand dollars for the Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care, donated in Randall's memory. This year the Marlee Fund & Dancewear House have teamed up to host Live & Dance Strong 2010.

The Harold Alfond College Challenge is the legacy of Harold Alfond who wanted every baby born in Maine to have a solid start on saving for education after high school.
