According to a knowledgeable source outside the station, Channel 13 is offering early retirement deals to employees who joined the station before Dec. 31, 1999.

In an Aug. 11 Morning Sentinel story by Larry Grard, readers were informed that:

Although, to be honest, I don’t seem to have done much to prevent it.
Since the Media Mutt column began in late June of last year, the Maine media have been through some torturous twists and turns.
