Artist Jon Mort will presents Constellations at his annual Open Studio in Port Clyde. Sharing studio space every summer with his well known artist father, Greg Mort, Jon’s stunning, larger-than-life graphite figures and delicate still life images are startlingly different and receive their own well-deserved acclaim. Through Aug. 5.

Greg Mort and Jon Mort will welcome the community to their annual Port Clyde open studio to present Greg’s "The Spirit of Maine" and Jon’s "Constellations." Both series ask age-old questions about one’s sense of place. Can the essence of your longitude and latitude define a person, influence thoughts, cultivate passions, and ignite and temper perceptions of beauty? Father and son, who often share the same studio space, have discussed, refined, and continue to explore this dialogue through their art. Through Aug. 5

 A two-week Seeds Of Peace course this month will bring thirty artists and educators from nine countries in conflict to explore the role of the arts in peace work.

Fifty of Maine’s finest artisans will fill the great room, pavilion, and outdoor stage at Camp Ketcha, which sits on 133 acres of meadows, forests, streams, and wetlands near Scarborough Beach State Park.
