The 2nd Annual Benton Alewife Festival is a day long free festival featuring a number of family friendly activities. Free Batting Cages/Mini Golf, face painting, Live Bird of Prey demonstration (eagle, hawk,owl), smoked alewife demo, shuttle bus to view live alewife harvesting, live band, bonfire, fairy house building, horse/carriage rides, canoe/kayak race, and much more..Most events located at the Benton Family Fun Park starting at 10AM-9PM..free and open to the public

Neighbor Helping Neighbor family festival, Saturday, August 17, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Library Park, Bath, Maine. Live music, crafts, food, "Living in New England" demonstrations, family-friendly activities and more. Proceeds to benefit the Bath Area Food Bank. FMI 207-443-9489.

The Georgetown Working League is holding their 100th annual fair in 2013. Quilt raffle, handmade items,collectibles, homemade baked goods, art, crafts, books, jewelry, white elephants, childrens activities, lunch. All proceeds benefit the town.

RIDE INTO SUMMER 2013

“Ride into Summer” is a wicked tasty way to kick-off the summer season in Maine. It includes a motorcycle and bicycle “open ride” and activities, peoples’ choice pizza contest of local traditional and non-traditional pizzas, live music, and a huge fireworks display.

Historic New England introduces the first-ever Hamilton House Fine Arts and Crafts Festival featuring the work of more than 150 artisans. Items include wooden furniture and toys, pottery, photography, jewelry, glass, knitted sweaters and throws, children’s clothing, metalware, and folk carvings. Enjoy live music, a food court, and first-floor tours of Hamilton House.

The Society of Southern Maine Craftsmen has been promoting handcrafts and providing sales opportunities for Maine craftspeople since 1968. It has sponsored Stone Soup Artisans cooperative retail stores since 1988. A juried organization, SSMC maintains a reputation for traditional arts and well crafted original designs. This is a juried show with free admission and free parking.
