Moosehead Lake Chocolate Festival
You’ll find plenty of chocolate mousse (the dessert kind) and other treats on the shores of Maine’s largest lake during the Annual Moosehead Lake Chocolate Festival. Once again thirty-five chocolate chefs will prepare delicious chocolate delights — an entry fee entitles you to twelve sweet selections. For the kids, check out the special Children’s Corner with games, prizes, and foods. And don’t miss the silent and Chinese auctions.

A summer festival that has taken place in downtown Belfast's beautiful waterfront for the last fifteeen years is arguably one of the best outdoor arts events in Maine. More than eighty artists and their white tents are filled with a variety of fine arts and crafts ranging from paintings to photos, fiber and pottery, metalwork and jewelry.

Penobscot Marine Museum is offering free admission and hosting a number of events for its Fling Into Fall festival. There will be a jack-o'-lantern and scarecrow competition, a craft show and sale, plus learn how to make artistic dioramas with a personal touc. The Penobscot Marine Museum is Maine's oldest maritime museum and home to the state's largest display of historic boats and outstanding collections of marine art and artifacts, ship models, and historic photography.

Other highlights include wine and food samplings, music, hayrides through the vineyard, hot air balloon rides, and, of course, lots of grape stomping.
