The Mile of Art is a festival featuring painting, sculpture,photography, music, very special crafts, and performances held along the beautiful wooded section of the fitness trail of the University of Maine at Augusta. There will be an exhibit of architectural models by students of the School of Architecture. Golf carts will be available to transport those who find the trail too strenuous. The trail starts behind the tennis courts just south of the Augusta Civic Center and winds through the very lovely woods behind the University of Maine at Augusta. The raine date is August 2, 2009.

Historic mill opens its dours for public tours. Since 1821 Bartlettyarns has been in operation in the tiny town of Harmony, ME producing world famous 100% wool yarns, rovings, blankets, sweaters, socks, hats and mittens. Originally started by Osias Bartlett, this has been passed down thru the generations and current owners Lindsey and Susan Rice invite you to see their "working gem".
