On Wednesday, March 20, 2013 from 2 - 4 p.m., the USM School of Music presents several solo and ensemble student musicians in a master class with the Da Capo Chamber Players. Da Capo musicians will provide critical feedback on the student performances. $6 at the door, no reservations required.

The Naumburg Award-winning Da Capo Chamber Players, one of New York City’s most longstanding and preeminent new music ensembles, will be in residence at USM School of Music for three days to present a public concert featuring soprano Lucy Shelton, readings, and recordings of student works, an open rehearsal for students, a master class and a public lecture.

Held in conjunction with the Belfast Free Range Music Festival, WERU's 3rd Annual Spring Fling Music Sale features used records, CDs, instruments and other music gear, sold by area vendors and WERU, plus refreshments and music provided by WERU DJs. Proceeds benefit WERU Community Radio, 89.9FM Blue Hill, 99.9FM Bangor.

Singer-songwriter, David Mallett, is one of America’s true original troubadours.

In a career spanning four decades, he has recorded 14 albums, had several hundred covers of his songs, including the American folk classic "Garden Song" (Inch by Inch, Row by Row).

Sharing the bill with David are his sons Luke and Will and The Mallett Brothers Band, an alt-country/rock band from Portland, Maine.

Preeminent punk band Bad Religion will release their new album True North this January 22nd on Epitaph Records. In a world still brimming with rampant anti intellectualism, inequality and oppression, the band’s signature brand of sonically charged humanist dissent seems as relevant as ever. On their newest record, the storied band deliberately revisits and refines the powerful and melodic Southern California sound they helped to define on albums such as Suffer, No Control and Recipe For Hate.

Taking influence from DnB, Metal, and Hip Hop, Excision is a Dubstep artist who must be heard to fully believe. Combining the morphing bass lines of Drum and Bass, the aggressive energy of Metal, and the laid back vibes of hip hop, Excision's style is incomparable.

Bristling with guitar acrobatics and infectious melodies, Minus the Bear’s fifth studio full-length album, Infinity Overhead, due August 28 on Dangerbird Records, is not only a return to form in direction, instrumentation and creation but also the band’s most aggressive and confident.
