The Portland Chamber Music Festival opens its seventeenth season with a colorful showcase of instrumental brilliance, featuring Deborah Hoffman, principal harpist of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra. Featured works include Ravel’s stunning Introduction and Allegro alongside pieces by Ibert and Dan Sonenberg of the University of Southern Maine faculty. Ending the program, we wish a happy two hundredth birthday to beloved composer Robert Schumann.

Brown and distinguished baritone Robert Honeysucker, along with a chorus of fifty voices and a thirty-five-piece professional orchestra, in two rare performances of "The Death of Minnehaha," a cantata by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor. 1875-1912.
