In celebration of Maine Maple Sunday, the Washburn-Norlands Living History Center in Livermore will serve pancakes, cooked on the woodstove, in the Farmer’s Cottage, a replica of the original 1867 historic building. Sap boiling demonstrations take place in the Sugar House. Visitors can help tap trees and collect sap. Meet the schoolmarm in the one-room schoolhouse who will encourage you to practice your mental arithmetic and penmanship using a quill pen under her watchful eye. Bring snowshoes or sleds and enjoy the 445 acres at this National Historic Site.

Dana Cunningham, a pianist, composer, and public speaker, lives and writes in the mountains of New Hampshire and western Maine. Her performances have been called “transcendent and deeply moving.”

Max Dyer, a cellist with over 30 years of performing experience, studied as a classical cellist at the Shepherd School of Music. He played with the Houston Symphony for three years, and currently plays with the Houston Ballet, Houston Grand Opera and the Houston Chamber Orchestra.

The Northport Memorial VFW Ladies Auxiliary to Northport Memorial VFW Post 6131 are hosting a Veteran's Day Dinner Sunday November 11th at the Post Home located at 780 Atlantic Highway, Northport, ME. The doors will open at noon and the Dinner
will be served at 1:00. The meal will consist of a delicious Turkey Dinner with all the fixings and gingerbread or apple crisp for dessert.

The Dinner is free for all Veterans and Service Men and Women and their families. People who are not Veterans can give a donation at the door. There will be a live band and a silent auction fundraiser.
